This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or tracking pixels. The one third-party service on the page is Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check on our forms. The short version: the only personal data we hold is what you choose to send us, and we use it to reply to you, or to send you what you asked for, and for nothing else.
Who we are
The Clarion is a sole-trader business based in Ireland. For anything in this policy, contact admin@theclarion.ie. The founder is the data controller for personal data described here, and the full business identity is provided on request and on all invoices and engagement documents.
What we collect and why
- Contact form and email. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you put in your message. We use it to reply and to prepare for any engagement you ask about. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
- The free kit. If you request the Context Kit, we receive your email address and use it to send you the download link. That is the entire purpose. It does not add you to a mailing list; there is no mailing list. The legal basis is taking steps at your request.
- Spam protection. Our forms include Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical signals from your browser (including your IP address) to tell people from bots. It is a security measure, not a tracker, and it is not used to follow you across sites.
- Bookings. Calls are booked through Cal.com, which we link to rather than embed. Anything you enter there is covered by Cal.com's own privacy policy.
- Server logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
Where it goes
Form submissions, enquiries and kit requests alike, are processed by our own automation account and stored in our Google Workspace: the request is logged and the reply, or the kit email, is prepared for human review before anything is sent. Nothing is sold, shared for marketing or added to a mailing list. There is no mailing list.
Audit and engagement data
If you commission an audit, a setup or a build, the material you share with us (process descriptions, sample documents, what we see on a screen-shared call) is used only for that engagement and is deleted on request once it has concluded. Setups and builds run inside accounts you own; we work as an invited user and hold no credentials of yours. The service terms cover this in detail.
Retention
Enquiry correspondence is kept while it remains relevant to a live or potential engagement and deleted when it is not. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, ask us to restrict or object to processing, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email admin@theclarion.ie and we will act on it. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. There is no banner because there is nothing to consent to: no cookies of our own, no tracking.
